I have had nothing but amazing experiences with this practice and the staff are fantastic, friendly and helpful, I have always been assisted with booking appointments for myself and my son, even offered to be added to a cancellation list. The receptionists are always so friendly and accommodating if I ask how many patients in front of us or how long our wait is, they are more than happy to answer! Huge shout out to receptionist dina for always making us feel welcome!

The medical centre moved from bulk billing fee based billing about 6 months ago which is a big disappointment. Their online booking and Hotdoc clearly states the charge a fee for each consultation and some of the fees are listed there. Most of the doctors are polite and professionals but they usually see a patient about 15 to 30 minutes late.

I got a serious vax injury (August 2021) that took about 4 months to get a diagnosis for. While that delay was partly because of the cardiologist, neither of the GPs I saw at Corrie St would prescribe any pain relief in that time either, nor was the urgency properly conveyed in referrals so I could get prompt care. I was in incredible amounts of pain to the point I thought I was dying, but instead of receiving the treatment I needed when I needed it, I was bounced between the GP, cardiologist, and emergency room for far too long and after a few months of this had also developed PTSD. I eventually requested a referral to a private cardiologist, who saw me within the week and prescribed pain relief immediately, but it took far too long to get to that stage. Even so, all this time later I still have flare ups of pericarditis (particularly with exercise) and am limited in my daily life in a way I wasn't before the vax, and this might not have been so severe if treated sooner. I had also complained about almost all of the minor side effects, and back pain. I was told to "wait it out" rather than having these investigated, even though the minor side effects lasted 2 weeks to a few months, and the back pain is still ongoing. I was told several times the symptoms could be because of PTSD, although I had the symptoms before I developed PTSD. Eventually, I got an x-ray for my back, which revealed spine inflammation, and given the timing of onset this was vaccine related (GP called it "unexplainable"). If the GPs I saw had actually looked into it when I mentioned it was an issue, I might have been able to do more to help myself earlier (like starting exercise physio far sooner) and might not have developed chronic pain. Overcharging for phone consults, too - including lying about call duration. I sent a screenshot of my call history to refute their claims it was over a certain time. I've also since had a Medicare claim refused for exercise physio to help with vax side effects because apparently the care plan I was on did not cover it, though previous sessions were covered, and my GP had told me it would be covered. https://www.legislation.qld.gov.au/view/html/inforce/current/act-2019-005#sec.37

I originally had an appointment booked for tomorrow except today my symptoms got worse so I called and spoke to Dena to ask if there was anything today. She immediately said all the doctors are booked out and there was nothing she could do. I thanked her for her time and was prepared to end the call when she sighed and said, “wait let me just check for you. Actually there is an app at 1:40pm today due to a last minute cancellation.” I left work ASAP to make it on time. Why did the she not take the initiative to check if there was a last minute cancellation to begin with? I have no idea, however I can’t help but wonder if she is always that dismissive until her moral compass makes her feel bad enough that she has to actually care and put in some effort... I arrived 5 minutes early and at 2pm I asked Dena where I was in the queue. She half rolled her eyes and allowed a look of annoyance to spread across her face before she told me there’s 2 other people in front of me. Before I even had time to respond she began passive aggressively advising me on how GP’s work and that they are always 20 minutes late. I stood there simply blinking, I quietly thanked her and sat back down. I was quite shocked at how I was just treated for simply asking a question. She also then tells me I’m waiting in the wrong area and I need go next door (20 minutes I’ve been in the wrong room). Again, I’m not sure why she didn’t point me in the right direction when I first arrived, especially as she can see by my records I’ve never been to this clinic before. I then continue waiting next door and at this stage, my symptoms are getting worse, I have another appointment at 2:45 I need to get to and frankly I don’t want to be in an environment where I’m uncomfortable and spoken down to. As I’m looking at their google reviews I notice someone say they are no longer bulk billing, which immediately alarms me as Health Engine mentioned they are and suggested them to me. I then ask Dena and she confirmed they are NOT bulk billed but for some patients they are at the DISCRETION of the DR. Now I start calling other doctors for a phone consult because I need it bulk billed and preferably after my 2:45pm appointment now that I’m already running late. I manage to make a booking as the DR calls my name at 2:10. She sees I’m on the phone and offers to give me 5 minutes to sort myself out and she will see another patient - win/win. While she’s seeing another patient, I make the decision to leave for my other appointment at 2:45 as I’m already late and I can have my phone consult after which is bulk billed. I make my way to the exit and on the way out I thank Dena anyways, “I’m sorry I’m just going to go I didn’t realise it wasn’t bulk billed as Health Engine suggested I book with you as you were bulk billed, I’m also late for another appointment.” She immediately says “Well if you leave now, we will charge you $50 for a cancellation fee and if you don’t pay it we will hand it over to the debt collectors.” I close the door and go up to the counter absolutely shocked. I say “ I don’t understand, my appointment was at 1:40pm and I was here 5 minutes early. The DR was half an hour late so I’m well within my rights to leave now and the Health Engine information regarding bulk billing was a bit misleading.” She starts lecturing me about how you should leave 1 hour free for a DR appointment and how she organised this last minute appointment for me (which was already a cancellation). How dare she tell me how I should organise my time. For all she knows, I have children waiting to be picked up. I then ask her about the bulk billing situation and she informed me of what was required in order to be eligible (ironically enough, I was eligible). I said regardless now, I still need to get to my appointment. Again, she said there would be a $50 cancellation charge etc. Finally, I call her out on her behaviour and she just laughs, “I’m 50 years old, I’ve never rolled my eyes.” An appalling response to say the least. I cut my losses, saw the DR and left. I will NEVER come back.

Waited over half an hour for my appointment, no explanation about the delay so I ended up telling the reception that I'm leaving. Still no apologies for the delay or wasting my time. People who shows up late/ after you will still be seen by the doctor before you. Strongly recommend showing up to your appointment at least 30-40 minutes late so you don't waste your time. They've closed phone consultation options too. Also, inside the clinic, there's a new notice saying you will be charged private fee for a general appointment if you raise more than one health concern on your appointment. Even with the Queensland health's newly update mask regulations, this GP asks patients to purchase mask if you do not have one and they do not notify you this when booking. Thank you for wasting my time and money!

You will always be waiting at least 30 minutes for your consultation. The service is far below standard even for bulk bulling but now that they are charging $75 per consult, I'd choose somewhere else

We see Dr Jag for our 1 year old and he is amazing. Even the nurse and the receptionist (who was available in the evening of 7th September 23) were super friendly and pleasant to talk to. Except for the delay in attending patients, everthing is great.
